Game Science has announced their next big title, Black Myth: Zhong Kui, which serves as the second chapter in their mythological series. It follows the story of Zhong Kui, known as an “Exorcist” and famously regarded as the Tang Dynasty’s official “Ghostbuster.”
Gameplay-wise, the studio confirmed it will preserve the traditional action-adventure combat that fans adored in Wukong, along with a host of new and iconic boss fights.
Monster Hunter Wilds x Final Fantasy XIV
In a surprise appearance, Monster Hunter Wilds returned to the Gamescom stage with its biggest reveal yet: a collaboration with Square Enix’s MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV.
The event will pit players against Final Fantasy XIV’s raid boss, the Omega Planetes, an enemy beloved and hated in equal measure by fans. Alongside this, Monster Hunter Wilds will feature a Chocobo Seikret and the familiar Cactuars roaming the Windward Plains map.
Details remain limited, but Capcom has confirmed this is a narrative-driven expansion, which suggests official tie-ins to Wilds’ main story.
LEGO Batman Game: Legacy Of The Dark Knight
After months of speculation, TT Games has finally unveiled a brand new LEGO Batman adventure, and it may be the closest fans have to a new Arkham-style game.
Legacy of the Dark Knight is a love letter to Batman fans, featuring some of the most iconic moments in the Dark Knight’s history. The game pays homage to Rocksteady’s Arkham series, Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy, and even a few quirky adaptations.
Combat also takes clear inspiration from the Arkham titles, complete with the familiar rhythm of dodging, countering, and taking down thugs in third-person combat.
Ghost of Yotei: Legends Announced as FREE Content
Sucker Punch Studios’ Ghost of Yotei also made an appearance at Gamescom 2025 following its major State of Play showcase last month. While gameplay has already been revealed, the studio saved its biggest surprise for Gamescom: the return of Legends mode, and the best part is that it’s completely free.
The Legends mode has always been a fan-favorite addition for Ghost players, offering a cooperative power fantasy where friends could take on missions together. Yotei’s version of Legends is expected to carry that same spirit, with more modes planned for the future.
